This course meets in Washington, DC, where participants meet with key legislators, lobbyists, agency administrators and media representatives to:

  • discuss the outlook for Congressional healthcare legislation
  • learn how the administrative agencies translate legislation into statutory law
  • discuss regulatory enforcement with the Federal Trade Commission and Office of Inspector General
  • explore the role of lobbyists and the media in shaping public opinion on health policy issues

This course is eligible for 4 hours of graduate academic credit.
